
Karen Blixens Plads under construction
The construction of Karen Blixens Plads, also known as KUA University Square, has started. The 22,400 m² plaza at the University of Copenhagen will be a superimposed surface of hills and valleys, offering high functional performance as well as a recreational resource. The plaza, one of the biggest in Copenhagen, is scheduled for completion in 2018.

From storage container to urban focal point – construction of The Silo completed in Copenhagen
As the centrepiece of Copenhagen’s redeveloped Nordhavn, Cobe unveils the completed transformation of The Silo. The former industrial silo was originally used as a storage container for grain. Fifty years later, the 17-storey silo has been converted for new use as a residential apartment building with 38 unique units, ranging from 106 m² to 401 m² in size, and with public functions such as event and dining facilities on the upper and lower levels.

Cobe exhibits in Lyon
Cobe is part of the exhibition “La ville en marchant”, opening on Monday at Archipel Centre De Culture Urbaine in Lyon, France. On show from Cobe is Nørreport Station and Køge North Station.
“La ville en marchant” exhibits recent approaches and achievements on how to create and develop more qualitative urban environments for the pedestrians in our cities. The exhibition is based on projects from both Lyon and around the world. Read more about the exhibition here.

Cobe selected to design the Nordhavn Station forecourt
Cobe is selected by CPH City & Port Development, Metroselskabet and the City of Copenhagen to design the Nordhavn Station forecourt – the first station of the Nordhavn metro extension operating in the beginning of 2020. Nordhavn Station is part of Copenhagen’s metro network, linked to the new city circle line, Cityringen, currently under construction.
The station forecourt will be covered in red brick tiles emphasizing the identity of the surrounding red Århusgade neighbourhood, the southernmost part of Nordhavn, uniting metro station, forecourt and buildings.

Lecture in Istanbul
This Wednesday, Dan Stubbergaard will give a lecture in Istanbul at İş Sanat Cultural Center concerning Cobe’s work for the past 10 years. He will be the third guest of the “T Meetings” series, which was guested by Sou Fujimoto and Winy Maas last year.

Krøyers Plads awarded best housing project in Copenhagen
Since 1902, the City of Copenhagen has once a year awarded the best buildings and urban environments of Copenhagen with the purpose to inspire architects and their commissioners to create innovative contemporary architecture, and thus increase quality of life for all inhabitants of Copenhagen.
This year, Krøyers Plads is awarded Best Housing Project in the city, presented today at Copenhagen's city hall by Mayor of Culture and Leisure Carl Christian Ebbesen.

Paper Island approved by Copenhagen City Council
The district plan for Paper Island has been approved by Copenhagen City Council, paving the way to begin site preparation in 2018 and construction in 2019. The future Paper Island will consist of a series of new halls for informal, public functions. Private housing will be placed on top of the halls encircling a green and intimate courtyard. The project is set for completion in 2021.

Cobe at CAFx 2017
Copenhagen Architecture Festival 2017 kicks off Thursday April 27, and in collaboration with the festival, Cobe will be hosting a series of unique events.
In addition, Dan Stubbergaard has together with designer Henrik Vibskov curated five films during the festival running from April 27 until May 7.
