Cobe wins competition to transform the harbour of Cologne
Stadt Köln and Moderne Stadt choose Cobe to transform the old industrial harbour of Cologne, Deutzer Hafen, into a new urban district! Together with Ramboll Studio Dreiseitl and Transsolar, we envision a masterplan that includes new housing typologies, public plazas, a new bridge and a public infinity pool where you can take a swim in purified rainwater. The pool ends in a huge waterfall and will cleanse the Rhine River over the coming years. The new neighbourhood in Cologne will provide homes for 5,000 inhabitants and work spaces for another 4,500.
